About Us
Plus Publications was set up in 1998 by Hugh Nagle to create language-learning resources for students and teachers. Our first product was the original Français Plus magazine that we published for Leaving Certificate students of French in Ireland.
That magazine was followed by a second major product in 2008, namely Learn French by Podcast. LFbP continues to be a hugely popular resource to this day all over the world. Our podcast episodes have been downloaded millions of times by listeners in almost every country. A significant number our listeners opt to purchase the very detailed PDF Lesson Guides which accompany the audio episodes. There are already 200 lessons available on LFbP on a wide and exciting range of topics.
Despite the proliferation of electronic devices in our everyday lives, it is increasingly apparent that retention of information from traditional media – books and magazines – is better than from digital screens. This is just one of the reasons why we are very excited to be back in print with Le nouveau Français Plus.
